Essential to Ridgeview Homes’ winning formula is attention to detail and making dream homes a reality

When you think of a quality home in the tri-city area, Ridgeview Homes is often the first name that comes to mind. Rid¬geview Homes champion the design of custom homes for clients in the Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge areas.

They are involved in every aspect of this process: from custom tailored design plans and construction to colour selections and roofing. Created by civil engineer, George Mouradian, Ridgeview Home was conceived with the idea of allowing hard working individuals to not only purchase their first home, but to have it custom designed to fit their personal lifestyles.

Mouradian comes from a long line of family members who were involved in the design and construction industry. In addition, Mouradian has over 25 years of experience working at every level of the construction process.

The culmination of Mouradian’s education and first-hand experience, gives him the perfect perspective to support a home buyer in develop¬ing their ideas and bring their concepts of their dream home to fruition. Mouradian says, “I enjoy every aspect of this process. I try to give my clients the support to build their own dream, and I take it personally. ``

As a young man, Mouradian dreamed of purchasing his very own custom home. He under¬stands wanting “your home to be your haven” and became very passionate about helping other new homeowners build their dream homes.

Ridgeview Homes was built on the premise of making a new homeowner’s dream a reality. “I meet with every client. We sit down and discuss their ideas for a dream home. I always fuse my input and expertise into their ideas and try to pro¬vide them with whatever support I can to make it happen,” says Mouradian.

What Quality Means

At Ridgeview Homes quality is the primary goal. The standard of quality comes from providing their client’s with high grade amenities and knowing that the final product is durable. Mouradian says, “No matter the plot size, we always try to maximize the space through creative design.”

Ridgeview homeowners are given only the best materials, their lots are selected for location and community appeal, because this company stands behind their finished product. “The quality of homes we produce is considered an upgrade in comparison to other builders in town, “says Mouradian.

Mouradian feels that it is beneficial for the company to produce a quality product the first time around, rather than deal with dissatisfied cus¬tomers down the road. “People work hard for their money and they deserve to get everything they want in their home investment,” said Mouradian. A custom Ridgeview Home offers their clients a laundry list of upgrades that Ridgeview considers basics of a quality home. They offer 2x6 instead of 2x4 walls, fully insulated basements, plywood floors not standard, 30 year shingles rather than 20, and maple and oak cabinets.

‘Green’ is in

Ridgeview Homes are pioneers in the construc¬tion industry, as they have been building green homes for over 20 years. Home inspectors have been rating Ridgeview Homes “green” since 1998, especially with regards to small lots. It will soon be mandatory for construction companies based in Ontario to build “green,” while Ridgeview had fore¬seen the environmental and financial benefits for their client’s to have energy efficient homes. Some of Ridgeview’s “green” initiatives are: to ensure their homes are air tight and therefore energy efficient, using high quality materials on walls and windows for increased insulation, and providing air guard systems. These minor “green” adjustments are not only beneficial for the environment, but truly improve the quality of living for the homeowner.

To ensure that they are always giving their clients the best possible product, Ridgeview homes takes an active approach to staying one step ahead of the competition. Technology is moving faster than ever in every industry and the employees of Ridgeview Homes are dedicated to continuous improvement. The Ridgeview employees regularly participate in and attend home and trade shows for the construction industry. This allows them to stay on top of any new trends, materials, and processes that are developed to give their clients a more durable or energy efficient home. Mouradian says, “Whenever we discover something new that is helpful, we are the first to jump on it and incor¬porate it into our company.” Ridgeview Homes is also part of the Home Builders Association, giving this already reputable company an official stamp of approval by their peers.

Integrity and honesty

Ridgeview Homes is proud to demonstrate values of integrity and honesty. A sense of trust and loyalty has been developed in the tri-city area surrounding this company, as the employees not only build in these areas, but also live in them. Mouradian says, “I am part of the community I build for, my family lives in the subdivision that I built, my kids play soccer in the same leagues as the homeowners I designed homes for. I take pride in the finished product I give my clients and I am honest about what they are getting.”

As a result of Mouradian working so closely with his clients, he makes a personal investment in delivering the best possible product to his ability. He displays an amazing sense of pride and accom¬plishment in continuing to have great relationships with many of his clients. 70 percent of the busi¬ness for Ridgeview Homes is driven from referrals. “Personally, we take great pride in knowing that we receive most of our business from our reputation and referrals, this tells us that we are doing some¬thing right,” says Mouradian.
