- Name: Dinolift Oy
- Est: 1952
- Employees: 160
- Revenue: 30 million euros
Dinolift is based near the Finnish town of Loimaa, but its reach goes a good deal further than that. Reach is something of a specialty for Dinolift; since 1974 it has been manufacturing trailer-mounted aerial working platforms. Its platforms are perfect for people who need to work in normally out-of-reach places, and need to do so in a secure, economical, and environmentally sound manner.
So far these platforms have reached over 40 countries around the globe.
“Primarily we sell to Nordic countries and 107throughout Europe,” explains Tuomo Nykanen, the company’s Production Director, “although 20 percent of our sales go to places outside Europe. We get a lot of sales from rental companies, but our platforms are also used a great deal by large construction - and the service companies.”
Key to the company’s strategy is attention to detail. “Our most important goals are quality and safety. In the current climate, it is essential to bear these goals in mind when you design a product,” Nykanen says. “You can see examples of this across all the new designs we’ve developed over the last few years.” The company’s vision is simple. “It’s important that we sell the best new products,” Nykanen says.
UPWARDLY MOBILE
Over the last few years Dinolift has been doing everything it can to make that vision happen, by combining superb machine characteristics with reliable quality. To meet growing demand for its products, the company has made big investments in production, installing new welding and robotic machinery. Its production facilities have been expanded by 3,500 square metres, with a new production line to drastically shorten the length of its production cycle.
And as for the final product, DINO® units all meet the EN280 requirements and have earned CE-certification and the ISO 9001 certificate.
This reliability however, is matched to great flexibility, and Dinolift has products suited to a range of environments and tasks.
DINO aerial work platforms come in 17 trailer-mounted types, and can reach working heights of 9.5 through to 26 metres. The company also provides three self-propelled models, and two crawler-mounted ones. The machines are electric powered, but are also available with either petrol or diesel aggregate. All DINO lifts also run with biodegradable synthetic oil, allowing its customers to do their bit for the environment. Dinolift really does have something for everyone.
FOR THE TOUGHEST TERRAIN
Which Dinolift product you need to use depends very much on the environment that you are working in. For the most demanding worksites, Dinolift recommends its new XTC series of crawlers. These models are compact, narrow, and perfect for navigating rough terrain, with a low ground pressure that makes them safe for moving on even the softest ground.
The XTC series boasts an excellent 43 percent gradeability, and a powerful driving system make it agile and easy to use on even the toughest worksites; with a chassis construction that keeps it stable even on sloping ground, that also allows it to be levelled on slopes as steep as 16 degrees.
FOR FRAGILE TERRAIN
A customer who needs something more lightweight need look no further than the DINO 265RXT, the newest and highest-reaching addition to Dinolift’s self-propelled range, and is fitted with new motors that significantly reduce emissions.
The 265RXT is lightweight and compact enough to work on fragile ground, is easily transportable and can even be lifted up to work on a multi-storey building. This model has a gradeability of 35 percent, and can be operated on severely sloping ground.
FOR A TIGHT SPOT
If your worksite is something of a tight-spot, Dinolift has its DINO 120TN trailer. Representing all the features Dinolift products are best known for, the 120TN also features a long horizontal outreach composed of three sections, allowing it to fold down to a transport length of only five and a half metres. This platform, with a weight of only 1,350 kg, can be easily towed by an ordinary passenger car, but can still carry a weight of up to 120 kg with a sideways outreach of 7.9 metres.
On top of that, at the push of a button the axle can be hydraulically moved into a narrow position and the outriggers can be easily turned alongside the chassis after releasing the locking by a handle, reducing the 120TN to only 88cm in width.
BATTERY POWERED MODELS
Last, but certainly not least, are the company’s range of battery operated Dino TB and XTB models. This range includes the DINO 135TB, DINO 150TB, DINO 180TB, DINO 160XTB, DINO 180XTB and DINO 210XTB models. These models are compact and easy to use, and feature a fresh, good-looking DINO design. The aim of these models is to fulfil customer requirements using the newest and most effective components. Being battery powered, these units can be used far away from where mains power is available, and if the batteries are empty, the machines are ready to work from the moment the batteries start charging.
These models are especially appropriate for customers who are interested in minimising their environmental impact. The machines save energy because the motor is running only when the machine’s boom function is used. Dinolift is ready for anything. Construction Digital is sure they are going to reach great heights.
