According to Eldor Vice President and Principal Alan Lang, the project was precipitated by the 1,039-acre campus’ aging infrastructure, and the need to accommodate future growth plans. Those plans include the construction of new dormitories and an expansion at the hospital. Eldor will be implementing the project while school is in session on the active Stony Brook University campus which has over 23,000 students.
Approximately 3 years ago, Eldor provided services at Stony Brook University for electrical construction services involving the installation of a new 69 KV electrical substation servicing the entire college campus and Stony Brook University Hospital.
